Chatham  Islands

DKP foiling lessons victoria, chatham island

Located off Oak Bay in British Columbia, the Chatham Islands embody the rugged, untouched beauty of the Pacific Northwest. This coastal paradise near Victoria is a haven for thousands of birds and wildlife.

As you foil along the water, you’ll see the thriving aquatic flora , including vast fields of bull kelp. With luck, you may also spot large anemones blossoming below.

chatham Island’s land is owned by the First Nation’s and is not open to the public.

DISCOVERY ISLANDS

Discovery Island, renowned for its breathtaking views, offers a blend of natural beauty and history. It is named after HMS Discovery and has a wildlife-filled coastline.

While foiling off the island, you’ll see an abundance of bull kelp and beautiful underwater pillars, an essential component of the marine ecosystem. The park is a paradise for wildlife like seals, eagles, and mink.

Parts of Discovery Island’s land is owned by the First Nation’s and is not open to the public.

Trial ISLANDS

Trial Island is located off the Southern coastline of Victoria. Many foilers and kiters trek around the Island during the summer to see its stunning beauty and wildlife. However, there are often strong currents, so venturing there without proper safety or guidance should be avoided.

During DKP foiling and kiteboarding lessons, you’ll see the thriving nature off Trial Islands, including fields of bull kelp and seagulls soaring the western ridge.

Trial Island’s are not open to the public.

Chain Islets

The Chain Islets off Oak Bay, British Columbia, are a haven for playful harbor seals and a diverse array of seabirds like seagulls and cormorants.

While surfing through the islets you’ll see the wildlife above an below the oceans surface. From seals frolicking in the kelp to colonies of birds and other gulls flying in formations above, the abundance of wildlife creates a vibrant tapestry of nature’s beauty.

Dallas road bluffs

Visible during DKP™ All ground lessons and kiteboarding and wingfoiling water lessons

The Dallas Road Bluff is a must-see in Victoria, boasting a stunning coastline dotted with vibrant wildflowers and a scenic walkway that hugs the shore. As you stroll along, keep an eye out for paragliders gracefully soaring above the ridge or catch a glimpse of DKP's water lessons unfolding below.
